InnoVillage – Talent Scaling for Sustainable Tourism

Implemented under the Polish Challenge Fund and the collaborative effort of the UNDP Partnership: Innovative Solutions for the SDGs, this initiative aims to foster sustainable tourism practices right here in Georgia.

This project is generously supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.

PROJECT OVERVIEW:

The InnoVillageGeorgia project aims to develop sustainable tourism in rural areas of Georgia by addressing knowledge gaps, resource limitations, and lack of visibility. It seeks to enhance understanding of local heritage and ecology, boost skills of residents (especially women) in IDP settlements in the Digital Creative sector and strengthen local ties among stakeholders. The project will connect these residents with local government representatives to foster rural development through digitalization and tourism, creating employment opportunities and boosting the local economy.

PROJECT GOALS:

1. Develop sustainable tourism in rural Georgia.
2. Enhance understanding of local heritage and ecology.
3. Empower particularly women, in the Digital Creative sector.
4. Strengthen collaboration among local authorities, businesses, and residents.
