RECONOMY is an inclusive and green economic development program implemented by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) through HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation in the Eastern Partnership and Western Balkan countries. RECONOMY's main goal is to empower women and youth to take advantage of economic opportunities, increase their incomes and secure decent and green jobs, in an inclusive and sustainable manner.
Activities focus on private sector-led sustainable economic development and improved quality of life in developing and developing countries. The main focus is on strengthening the skills of individuals and increasing the competitiveness of businesses.
CIPE is one of four major institutes affiliated with the National Endowment for Democracy and is an affiliate of the American Chamber of Commerce. It was established by President Reagan in 1983, and the work is as important and relevant today as it was then.
